The Entertainment Centre's inaugural New Year’s Eve Gala Concert starring Australia’s finest tenor David Hobson.

The Entertainment Centre has assembled a cast of performers to ensure you have the very best New Year’s Eve ever. Starring David Hobson along with long-time friend and star Australian Baritone Roger Lemke, International Soprano Alison Jones and Opera Australia Mezzo Soprano Caroline Vercoe. 
The full 2 hour show will be a wonderful mix of Opera Classics, Operetta, Musical Theatre combined with Celtic music and even a little of the Fab 4.

The concert will be led by musical director David Cameron and compered by Chris McKenna.

All tickets include post-concert complimentary sparkling and nibbles with the stars and local entertainers Colin Wilson and Madeleine McKenzie will set the mood to bring on 2017.

Australian tenor and composer David Hobson is one of Australia’s best-known operatic, concert and stage performers, with a repertoire that spans the gamut of musical styles from Baroque through to Pop. 
David has starred in roles for Opera Australia as well as major state and international opera companies such as San Francisco Opera, he has also performed in many major musicals such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  He is well recognised for his television appearances on Carols by Candlelight where he delights audiences each year with his renditions of Jerusalem, appearing also on Dancing with the Stars, It Takes Two and Spicks and Specks.

David Hobson and his close friend Roger Lemke both shot to fame when they starred alongside each other in Baz Lurhman’s critically acclaimed production of La Boheme, which is still today one of the highest selling Opera Australia dvd’s. 
Alison Jones has sung all over the world including twice lead female role with The D’Oyly Carte Opera Company in the Savoy Theatre in London. 
Caroline Vercoe has only recently returned to Melbourne after 15 years with Opera Australia main stage Sydney. Both have had a busy year touring Australia as two of the stars in ‘Over There’ Promac Productions highly acclaimed Great Songs of the War Years production. More recently they starred together in La Prima Opera’s tour of ‘Encore’.
